We went to Parc de Merlet and didn’t want to eat at the Balcon there but wanted to have nature around us with a terrace and better food. This place has a small menu but it is well done. We had the tarte and salad and the Guinguette salad. We also ordered a local beer - IPA and a white wine also from the region. The beer was light and flavorful and sans gluten! Should have ordered 2 of those. We followed the mains with the limoncello tiramisu (which came with its shot glass of limoncello to pour over) and espresso to end our wonderful lunch. The food was wonderfully fresh and flavorful and healthy. The service was super friendly and quick. The views were entertaining - rock climbing on one side and mountains and water running into the lake on the other.

Fantastic location, just off the Main Street, near a large car park and nestled on a cute fishing lake, with terrific views of the mountains, this cute restaurant has a imaginative menu of freshly made meals & desserts. The staff were happy & helpful, despite our broken French, and we had a fun afternoon.

My favourite spot in Chamonix that is clearly loved by the locals. The food and wine is fantastic, and the crème brûlée is a must try - the best I’ve ever had!! The experience is topped by the atmosphere as it is an intimate balcony-set restaurant in nature by the lake, and the staff are so welcoming - as if you’re in a Chamonix home
